💡 Title: “A Woman Who Fears the Lord”
📜 Scripture Focus
📝 Scripture Observation
Agur’s words are raw and humble—he recognizes his smallness before a mighty and holy God. He doesn’t pretend to have it all together; instead, he confesses that true wisdom comes only from the Holy One. Proverbs 31 then reminds us that it’s not charm or beauty that lasts, but the fear of the Lord. Psalm 33 ties this together beautifully: the fear of the Lord leads the whole world to awe and worship. These verses form a picture of what it means to walk wisely—with reverence, humility, and deep dependence on God.
💭 Devotional
Agur New, who he was before God, a mighty awesome God there’s no comparison when we have a right perception of who we are and who God is we gain a healthy fear of God we’re close to ending the book of proverbs and again we’re reminded that the fear of the Lord brings wisdom
I’ve often asked how can a Pastor from a mega Church or a leader in a huge worship ministry fall so hard that they no longer serve in ministry or serve the Lord and this is it they lost the fear of God
When we lose the fear of God, we lose our way of who we are in Christ Jesus, we lose sight of who he is. And then we can no longer walk in the power and the might that he gives we lost wisdom. And we stopped, relying on his word….
📌 Application
Charm is deceitful and beauty is fine, but a woman who fears the Lord we need to continue every day to be an all of him start our morning with recounting his greatness all that he’s done his creation he made us he holds this universe together by the power of his word…
🧍♀️ What About Me?
Lord, I humble myself before You today. You are holy, wise, powerful, and perfect in all Your ways. Forgive me for the moments I’ve lost sight of who You are. Restore in me a right fear of You—a deep reverence that shapes every part of my life. Help me to be a woman who fears You and seeks You first. May Your Word always be my shield and my source of truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
🪞 Daily Reflection: Becoming a Proverbs 31 Woman
Today, take a moment to do a self-evaluation:
1️⃣ How am I truly applying what I’ve read?
2️⃣ What small change am I going to make today to grow in wisdom and godly fear?
The virtuous woman in Proverbs 31 wasn’t just busy—she was anchored in the fear of the Lord. She walked in the Spirit. She committed herself daily to honoring God, and that’s what gave her the strength and grace to do all that she did.
So if we want to be Proverbs 31 women…
💖 We must start with the fear of the Lord.
📖 We must walk in His Word.
🙏 And we must daily surrender our lives in awe and worship of Him.

“The sayings of Agur son of Jakeh contain this message. I am weary, O God; I am weary and worn out, O God. I am too stupid to be human, and I lack common sense. I have not mastered human wisdom, nor do I know the Holy One.
Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.”
Proverbs 30:1–3, 5 NLT
“Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.”
Proverbs 31:30–31 NLT
“Let the whole world fear the Lord, and let everyone stand in awe of him.”
Psalm 33:8 NLT
