Romans 6:2-4 -Identifed in Christ
Aug 31, 2025
When we place our faith in Jesus, we are united with Him in His death, burial, and resurrection. Paul reminds us that being “identified in Christ” means we are no longer slaves to sin. Just as Christ died and was buried, our old sinful self is put to death. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too are raised to walk in newness of life. Baptism is the picture of this reality—it shows outwardly what has taken place inwardly. To be identified in Christ is to live a life that reflects His victory, His righteousness, and His transforming power. Today, we are called to remember who we are in Him and live as people made new.
