Today’s Reading
Leviticus 20–22
⸻
Scripture Focus
“So set yourselves apart to be holy, for I am the Lord your God… for I am the Lord who makes you holy.”
— Leviticus 20:7–8 (NLT)
⸻
Reflection
Dear sister,
As we continue through Leviticus, we see that God is forming a people who belong to Him. He is building a new nation, a community set apart. Before this, people lived according to what was right in their own eyes. But God was teaching Israel that holiness is not self-defined — it is God-defined.
And in the middle of all these commands, He keeps repeating:
“I am the Lord who makes you holy.”
Holiness begins with belonging.
God had already rescued them. He had already called them His. The laws were not making them His — they were teaching them how to live as His.
When God says, “I am the Lord who makes you holy,” He is saying:
I chose you.
I set you apart.
I define holiness.
I am transforming you.
Obedience does not create holiness — it reflects surrender to the Holy One.
I do not want to live by what seems right in my own eyes. I want my mind renewed by His Word so the Holy Spirit can shape me into a woman who reflects His holiness.
⸻
Lesson for Me
Holiness begins with belonging.
Because I am His, I must learn to live like His.
⸻
Application Questions
•Am I letting God define holiness in my life?
•Are there areas where I am blending in instead of being set apart?
•Do I see obedience as identity or as burden?
⸻
Prayer 🙏
Father,
Thank You that You are the Lord who makes me holy. Thank You for setting me apart and calling me Your own. Renew my mind and shape my life so that everything I do reflects that I belong to You.
In Jesus’ name, amen.

Acts 20
⸻
Scripture Focus
“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus…”
— Acts 20:24 (NLT)
⸻
Reflection
Dear friend, my sister in Christ,
In Acts 20 we see what a life that belongs to Jesus looks like in motion.
Paul understood that his life was not his own. He did not measure his worth by comfort, safety, or approval. He measured it by faithfulness to the assignment Jesus gave him.
That is a holy life lived out.
Holiness is not only about being set apart from sin — it is about being set apart for purpose. Paul lived surrendered. His identity shaped his direction.
When we truly understand that we belong to Christ, our priorities change. We move from asking, “What do I want?” to “What has He assigned me?”
Belonging produces surrender.
Surrender produces purpose.
⸻
Lesson for Me
My life belongs to Jesus.
My purpose is to finish what He assigns me.
⸻
Application Questions
•Am I living like my life is mine — or His?
•What assignment has God placed in my hands right now?
•Am I willing to endure difficulty to stay faithful?
⸻
Prayer 🙏
Lord,
Help me live like I belong to You. Give me courage to finish the work You have assigned to me. Let my life reflect wholehearted surrender and faithful obedience.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
